Lia and Blair have been practising yoga for more than 30 years. Now in their 50s, they credit their yoga practice with helping them maintain their flexibility, strength and vitality.

Lia

Lia was introduced to Sivananda yoga on a yoga retreat that she and Blair took in 2002. The retreat was held at the Sivananda ashram in the Bahamas and proved to be the perfect antidote for her busy work and family life. Auckland yoga teachers in Sivananda yogaFollowing that introduction, Lia and Blair established a regular Sivananda yoga routine to maintain the equilibrium that they had experienced on Nassau and they continued to deepen their practice by attending retreats at the Sivananda Ashram in Orleans (France) and the Yogananda Ashram in Assisi (Italy).

Lia completed the Sivananda yoga teacher training course in Umbria (Italy) in 2009 and is now a certificated Yoga Siromani (teacher/instructor) in Sivananda Yoga.

Blair

Blair was introduced to the practice of hatha yoga when he was 13 by his father. Blair has been practising yoga ever since and became more fully immersed in its spiritual practices from 2000 onwards. He meditates and practises asanas dailySivananda yoga instructors Auckland.

Blair completed yoga teacher training with Ashram Yoga in Auckland in 2001 (Satyananda yoga). He has attended yoga retreats at Sivananda ashrams in the Bahamas and Orleans (France), at Yogananda Ashram in Assisi (Italy) and also attended a ‘Celebrating Yoga Conference’ (Kausthub Desikachar) in Sydney in 2003.

In 2009, Blair completed an intensive yoga teacher training course on a Sivananda ashram in Umbria (Italy) and is now a certificated Yoga Siromani (teacher/instructor) in Sivananda Yoga.
