Convenient location
Yoga Siromani Homestay is well located only 10 minutes’ drive (6km) from the city centre and 20 minutes (15km) from Auckland International Airport. We are close to two bus routes. A bus trip in peak hour takes about 30 minutes into the central city. Off-peak, allow about 20 minutes.
The airport bus route along Mt Eden Road will pick up and drop off passengers at the bus stop near Landscape Road.
Our yoga practice and philosophy
Yoga Siromani follows the yoga practices and philosophy of Swami Sivananda. A Sivananda yoga class follows a prescribed structure, beginning with pranayama (breathing exercises), which prepares the body/mind for the asanas (steady poses) that follow. The asanas consist of a sequence of 12 main poses designed to stretch, strengthen and tone the body while calming the mind. Each class ends with savasana or full relaxation to rejuvenate the body/mind. All classes are 90 minutes long to allow the subtle benefits of this form of yoga to be felt.
Yoga mats are provided for guests. However, guests are welcome to bring their own yoga mats.

Antipodean summer season only
Salute the sun looking out over Mt Eden during a sub-tropical Auckland summer. We accept bookings from 1st September.
Three-night minimum stay
Our aim at Yoga Siromani Homestay NZ is to offer our guests a beneficial yoga experience. We believe a three-night stay is needed to provide the minimum time that guests need in order to recharge and revitalise their bodies and minds.
Your hosts
Lia and Blair have lived in Auckland’s Mt Eden for over a decade.
Lia is now a full-time yoga teacher, having left the corporate environment, where she specialised in learning and development. She is also a fluent speaker of Italian, thanks to her Italian-born parents. Blair is a human resources manager in the mental health sector. He also teaches an evening yoga class at his workplace.
They share their Mt Eden home with their dog, Toto, a Pomeranian-poodle-cross. He may be small, but Toto still aspires to be top-dog in the house.
